Broadband

Broadband is available in Wing. According to BT Wholesale, phone lines in Wing should be able to support a 1.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max. You can check your estimated line speed here.

The Wing BT Exchange is about 3km from the village, so download speeds won't get anywhere near the 8Mbps typically advertised by broadband service providers for ADSL max services.

Faster speeds may be available in the future however. The Wing exchange has a target date of 1st Apr 2010 - 31st Mar 2011 to have 24Mps adsl2+ enabled. Note given the distance from the exchange Wing residents should only expect modest increases in speed if / when adsl2+ is enabled.

Virgin Media cable broadband is not available in Wing at this time.

Digital TV

Freeview is available, although some areas of Wing suffer poor reception.

Sky TV and Freesat are also available.
