Walk 1 - Linslade to Burcott - 2 miles

Route: This short walk connects Littleworth to Bunkers Lane, Linslade across field paths but it does have to cross the new by-pass via a central reservation. 1 hr.

Start: OS SP881235. Walk along Littleworth from Wing and turn right into the field behind the stables.

A. Follow the hedge line until a way-mark points across the field to join the farm track – follow this until B
B. Climb the stile from the track into the field and bear left cutting across fields that are separated by wire fencing where horses normally graze. The route goes down to a shallow stream that is crossed by a bridge. Walk across the arable field keeping the spinney to your right.
C. Leave the field at the top end via a stile. Turn sharp left. Follow to the right of the hedge looking towards the pylon. Go through the small spinney towards the gate adjoining the by-pass.
D. Follow the road embankment for 200yds and carefully cross the by-pass (noting that there is a central reservation). Turn right until opposite the gate. Here turn left and follow hedge line until a stile. This leads into a pleasant meadow that slopes downhill.
E. Follow the track to its end where it meets the houses.
F. Pub stop.

An alternative short-cut would be to return to Wing at the pylon and head back towards Waterloo Farm where the route joins Moorlands at G.
